hard disk recovery

We offer NAS (Network Attached Storage) recovery services for any type of NAS System including multi disk NAS Systems in any raid configuration including Raid 5, Raid 1, Raid 0 etc. We recover from all the major NAS manufacturers including Lacie, Buffalo, Netgear, Seagate, Data Robotics, D-Link, Iomega etc. Call us on 01628 563228 for a free quote.

We offer three service options, which comprise the following:

Standard - £249 Express - £400 Critical - £600

Our 'Standard Data Recovery Service' is a 2-4 day working day service, 'Express Data Recovery Service' is 1-2 working days and our 'Critical Data Recovery Service' is usually 24 hours. We recover 95% of all NAShard disk systems for our standard price of £249+vat providing the disk does not have a mechanical failure. The above pricing is based on a one disk system, if there is more than one disk then the pricing will revert to our raid pricing structure.

We have an office in both Belfast and London so disk's can be dropped off or sent into us via the postal or courier system. We believe we offer the quickest and best NAS Data Recovery Expertise in the UK and Ireland to recover from all types of NAS systems. We have recovered from 1000's of NAS Raid systems over the last 10+ years. Please call us on 01628 563228to speak to one of our highly qualified engineers for an instant quote or request a quote using our online 'Request a Quote' form.

We specialise in recovering data from failed NAS systems including Lacie Big Disk, Lacie 2Big Network 2, Lacie 4Big Quadra, Buffalo LinkStation Pro, Buffalo LinkStation Quad, Buffalo LinkStation Mini, Netgear Infrant ReadyNAS 1000S, ReadyNAS 600, Iomega StorCenter Pro, D-Link DSN-323, Seagate BlackArmor NAS 110, Data Robotics Drobo S etc.

We have been recovering Data from all types of NAS going back the last 10+ years. Our expertise is 2nd to none and in 95% of NAS Data Recovery cases we recover all data. We backup our expertise with our No Fix No Fee service so if we do not recover your data we don't charge you.

We recover NAS systems from all types of server operating systems including Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows 2003, Microsoft 2008, Mac OS X Server, Unix, Linux, FreeBSD, openBSD, Solaris, IBM AIX, HP HP-UX, Windows Small Business Server etc. So no matter what the file system is, whether its Apple HFS+, Windows NTFS, Linux Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, XFS or ZFS we can recover your data for you.

NAS Recovery Process:

Depending on the type of NAS system, the data recovery process can take several paths depending on the NAS Raid configuration of your server system.

In all cases all hard disks are imaged as part of our standard recovery procedure. This ensures the intergity of the original hard disk's.

We then work with the hard disk images to process the NAS system by recompiling the data. This process depends on your NAS Raid configutation but often involves de-stripping or recompiling the hard disk images and then processing the data.

We are the only data recovery company that images all hard disks before and after de-stripping-recompiling to ensure the highest possible chance of recovering your data.

If you are unsure what the file system configuration is we can also determine the configuration for you.

NAS Raid Configuration:

NAS Systems support several different data storage configurations, which provide the owner/business of the system with different data protection levels and different recovery chances if the Server fails.

RAID 0: Data is distributed across the drives. This is the best-performing configuration with maximum data capacity. A single drive failure causes loss of all the data. This method is gradually getting replaced with other raid configurations but is still the most used NAS configuration on the market.

RAID 1: In this configuration two shared disks are mirrored. This configuration provides great speed but only half of the potential storage capacity. This configuration is used on NAS Devices less and less.

JBOD: This ensures full storage capacity and good performance. Single drive failure may cause all data loss. We see this on a high percentage of NAS Systems, Lacie NAS systems in particular.

RAID 5: Data is distributed across the drives using backward parity rotation. This configuration is fast but space equal to one disk's capacity is lost. The NAS system will continue to operate normally even after single drive failure. The lastest NAS Systems are using raid 5 technology.

Different NAS Systems support different interfaces. Some of the interfaces supported include: PATA Hard Drives, SATA Hard Drives, Portable Hard Drives, Mobile Hard Drives, IDE Hard Drives, SATA Hard Drives, SATA II Hard Drives, SATA 2 Hard Drives, SATA III Hard Drives, SATA 3 Hard Drives, eSATA Hard Drives, SAS Hard Drives, SCSI Hard Drives, iSCSI Hard Drives, ESDI Hard Drives, Fibre Channel Hard Drives, USB Hard Drives, Firewire Hard Drives and PCMCIA Hard Drives.

Step 1

Phone us on 01628 563228to arrange to drop of the disk to us. If you are posting in disks to us please send the Hard Drives via a suitable postage service along with your Contact Details (Full Name, Full Postal Address, Phone Number, Email Address). If you don't specify standard of service the NAS system will get booked in under our standard service. You can use the 'Shipping Form' to print out your details and send with hard disks. We recommend Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery. It is a guaranteed next day service so if you send today we will receive tomorrow. The average costs for raid server disks are £10.00+ via this delivery method and the contents are fully insured up to a value of £500.

Step 2

Once we receive NAS System we will inspect and perform a full diagnostic on disks to confirm the problem and the level of data recovery that we can attain from your NAS system, we will contact you ASAP to determine what data you want recovered. We normally be in contact within 24 hours with the average standard recovery job taking 4 days to complete.

Step 3

We recover the data and send you details via email for you to conform the data before you pay us for the recovery services. Once we receive payment we will backup the data you want and copy the contents onto a suitable media. We normally advise all cleints to get everyting backed up to either data dvd or an external/portable hard disk.

Step 3

We send the recovered data back to you via a Next Day Courier Service. Our aim to complete the Data Recovery Service within 24-96 hours of receiving the hard disk. We believe we offer the quickest turnaround service and best value data recovery service within the UK and Ireland.
